Kyiv, September 18, 2010. Activists installed a ’nuclear waste pile’ to protest against the plans of Ukrainian and German governments to extend the lifetime of nuclear reactors.
Activists of the National Ecological Centre of Ukraine installed a pile of cans with radiation warning signs in front of the German Embassy. The cans symbolized radioactive waste produced by nuclear stations which cannot be safely disposed.
