A new report published by UK based independent energy company Good Energy suggests that, contrary to the general belief, renewable power sources are cutting the wholesale price of energy and reducing the impact of subsidies on bill payers. The report ("Wind and solar reducing consumer bills : an investigation into the Merit Order Effect") is backed by experts at Sheffield university.
