Power giant EDF has begun court action to remove protesters who have set up camp on land earmarked for the proposed Hinkley Point C nuclear power station.
The company served papers on activists occupying farmland on Saturday.
The papers, served by legal firm Squire Sanders of London, are applying for possession of the premises and an injunction against all future protests at the site, the latter an unprecedented move, say the protesters.
