Grid connection of Yangjiang Unit 3, located at Dongping Town, Yangjiang City in western Guangdong Province, took place on 18 October 2015, according to plant owner China General Nuclear Power Corp. (CGN). Construction start of Unit 3 began on 15 November 2010, and commercial operation is scheduled for later this year. Yangjiang Unit 2 was connected to the grid in March 2015.
