Jaitapur activists, who have been protesting against setting up a nuclear power plant, approached the Supreme Court after they were denied anticipatory bail by the Mumbai High Court. These activists have been on the run since their protests on 4 and 17 December 2010. The local police has slapped several charges of violent protest and attempt to murder against them.
