In order to address the grievances of villagers of Jaitapur, the site for the proposed 9,900mw Nuclear Power project in coastal district of Ratnagiri, a People’s Tribunal on the Safety, Viability and Cost Efficiency of Nuclear Energy has been set up by the protesters today.
"The tribunal will be an independent body and see participation of people from Jaitapur besides scientists, experts and government officials,"Justice (retd) BG Kolse-Patil told reporters today.
