Areva, Namibia Power Complete Electricity-Transmission Line

Areva SA, the world’s biggest supplier of nuclear equipment and services, and state-owned Namibia Power Corp. completed construction of an electricity- transmission line in the southern African country.

The link will provide electricity to Areva’s Trekkopje uranium mine and a desalination plant in the western Erongo region, officials from both companies said at a signing ceremony today in Windhoek, the capital.
