French utility EDF and Japan’s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) said Tuesday they’ve signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on civil nuclear power, including MHI taking a stake in Areva NP and joint development of the Atmea reactor design.
