Sunday November 6th is the International Day of Action Against Depleted Uranium Weapons. It also happens to be the United Nations’ Day for Prevention of the Exploitation of the Environment during Wars and Armed Conflicts : https://www.un.org/en/events/environmentconflictday
Events will be taking place worldwide and we are calling on individuals and groups to mark the day with an action on DU weapons.
2011 marks the 20th anniversary of the first major use of DU weapons in the 1991 Gulf War and could provide a theme for your event. Plans are already under way for events in London, Brussels and Japan and if you would like more information on any of these please get in touch at info@bandepleteduranium.org
