Selon le porte-parole d’EDF Energy, il s’agissait d’un « petit feu » survenu dans le bâtiment de la turbine à gaz... L’incendie aurait été éteint en quelques minutes, avant l’arrivée du service d’incendie appelé pour intervenir dans la centrale.

Fire at Hinkley Point B
Firefighters were called to a fire at the Hinkley Point B nuclear power station in Somerset, UK.
A spokesman from EDF Energy said a “small fire” was detected in some lagging in the gas turbine house on Wednesday..
The spokesman said the fire was extinguished in a few minutes, before the fire service arrived.
“There were no injuries to any personnel,” he said.
“There has been no impact on operational activity at the power station, which continues to safely generate electricity.”
He said that an investigation was being carried out to establish the cause of the fire.
The construction of Hinkley Point B, which was undertaken by a consortium known as The Nuclear Power Group (‘TNPG’), started in 1967. The reactors were supplied by TNPG and the turbines by GEC. Hinkley Point B is an Advanced Gas-cooled Reactor (AGR) which was designed to generate 1250 MW of electricity.
