1 May 2017 : The board and shareholders of Nuclenor, operator of the single-unit Garo�a nuclear power station in Burgos, northern Spain, failed in meetings on 26 April 2017 to reach a decision on whether to permanently close the facility, Nuclenor said in a statement. “During the board meeting no agreement was reached, so the matter was referred to the shareholders’ meeting which followed, where also no agreement was reached,” Nuclenor said.
